Growing up in an Asian family, we weren't about to mess around with cheap crumby rice cookers. The Zojirushi 10 cups through the years have kept me well fed for 25 years. If you treat it well (i.e. no metal on the nonstick), they'll last forever. If you don't eat rice every day or don't have a large family, this unit might be overkill. You may think about a 4 or 5 cup. You can, of course, buy this one too. My mom owns 3 rice cookers. If you ever go to an Asian food market, you'll see that practically every rice cooker comes in floral print. I don't trust a rice cooker without flowers on the side. =)PRO:
